Whether you’re trying to conceive, preparing for labor and delivery, or newly postpartum, doulas provide essential support for all stages of the perinatal journey. As noted by the American Pregnancy Association, doulas play a significant role in ensuring a safe and empowering birth experience.  

At The Lemon Grove, we offer holistic, evidence-based, and trauma-informed doula support for birthing people, their partners, and their families. As a perinatal wellness collaborative, our experienced and compassionateteam provides personalized doula services for birth, postpartum, infertility & IVF support, and more.

2. Meet with the doula(s) who may be the best fit based on availability, experience, personality, & more.

3. Choose your doula services support team - we’ll take care of the rest!

Birth Doula

  • Prenatal Visits (Approx. 2 hrs. each)

  • Continuous Active Labor Support + Immediate Postpartum Support (1-2 hrs.)

  • Postpartum Visit(s) (Approx. 2 hrs. each)

  • Private Facebook Group

  • Birth preferences, resources + support via phone/text/e-mail

$2100 (2 Prenatal Visits, Birth Support, 1 Postpartum Visit)

$2300 (3 Prenatal Visits, Birth Support, 2 Postpartum Visits)

$3570 (2 Prenatal Visits, a doula couplet providing support with 1 doula for early labor and 1 doula for active labor through delivery), 1 Postpartum Visit

*Ideal for Single Moms By Choice & Solo Parents By Circumstance that need a primary support support person from start of labor through delivery. This service can also be available for any family dynamic that anticipates wanting this level of support. Both doulas will attend all prenatal & postpartum visits as part of the package. Alternatively, we are happy to support SMBCs/solo parents with our other doula packages.

Postpartum Doula

  • 1 Prenatal Visit to review postpartum planning together

  • 4-6 Hour daytime and/or 8-12 hour overnight shifts

  • Shifts in-hospital are also available

  • Help with newborn feedings, naps, care, etc.; light housekeeping & meal preparation; joining birther on appointments & errands; emotional support for birther & partner, & more.

  • Private Facebook Group

  • Resources + support via phone/text/e-mail

$50/Hour (Daytime)

$60/Hour (Overnights)

Infertility & IVF Doula

  • Doula support during your infertility or trying-to-conceive journey.

  • Perfect for folx who have experienced loss, extended TTC period, complex medical history, etc.

  • Includes resources, texts/calls/visits, accompaniment to appointments, & more.

    $500 Retainer (then $50/Hourly)

Miscarriage Doula

  • Initial in-person meeting, approx. 2 hours (Discussion typically centers around sharing of your loss, providing you with what to expect physically & emotionally during short-term & long-term healing, community resources, decisions to consider regarding sharing loss and requests for support with circle of family/friends/etc., memorialization, etc.)

  • Two follow up meetings, either in-person or virtually, approx. 1-2 hours each

  • Ongoing call/text/resource support

$500 Retainer (then $50/Hourly)

Sibling Doula

On-call childcare while you give birth.

  • Includes 1 prenatal visit for the doula & child(ren) to meet, to learn the home, the routine, etc.

  • Includes up to 12 hours of continuous childcare

  • Extensions are available at the postpartum doula fee

$1500 for 12 hours (then $50/hr. daytime & $60/hr. overnight )

Abortion Doula

  • Virtual or in-person support before, during, & after procedure

  • Virtual check-ins afterwards

Schedule a Birth Preferences Consultation with Owner & Founder Marissa Hathaway! As an experienced birth doula supporting hundreds of families at 30+ hospitals, she can guide you through crafting your birth preferences and can help you choose the decisions that feel best for your family. Consultations are either in-person at our location or virtual.

$250 for 2 hr. consultation

Childbirth Education

Our out-of-hospital comprehensive one-day childbirth education class in Boxford, MA is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and interactive!

We also offer the Spinning Babies Parent Class, Newborn Care Essentials, & more!

Lactation Education

Our group prenatal lactation class is the perfect preparation for anyone planning to breastfeed/chestfeed, pump, use donor milk, etc. This thorough prenatal lactation class in Boxford, MA is taught by IBCLC Aarani Montanari of R & R Motherhood.
